Farmers friendly rice seedling raising in Mat-type nursery for mechanical rice transplanter. This method is highly appreciated and accepted by the rice farmers of CSISA-BD project of IRRI in Barisal region, Bangladesh. During method demonstration and FFD not only farmers but also all associated Stakeholders including DAE expressed their satisfaction indeed. It is less time consuming, no need to purchase tray and easy to handle for the farmers. Seedling raising cost can be minimized easily.
